/sigh money matters and opinions

The infamous "if I was rich instantly" idea.

*I'd pay off all my current debt first thing.
*I'd pay off all my families debt (my mom has a ton in medical bills).
*Depending how much money I had, I'd hire a person to help me invest/control it.
*I'd buy a new car, either a Camaro or Chevy Volt. Custom made.
*I'd completely renovate the house I'm in now for my parents. Like tear it down, re-landscape it and build a new one on the ground.
*I'd buy myself a reasonable nice house in the bay area for me and Eddy to move to and a couple room mates? (Who wants to live with us for a lil bit? Kayla, Kate, Jill?)
*I'd buy Kayla and her mom a house and help take care of the family ranch/well.
*I'd have a big party and cater L&L Hawaiian BBQ
*Get everything on my wish list, which is expensive to me now but would be knocked out in a day ;D
*Finish my education, fully paid for, maybe live in the dorms somewhere and look for a good job I can invest into.
*I wouldn't stop working, but I'd rather find a job I much enjoyed compared to Slave-mart.

If only.

Its amazing how people in the United States are programmed, or told in our western society that the goal is to become rich. Or get a job that makes you rich. Where as Japan and a lot of other country's, retail and other jobs aren't as frowned upon. Each person is important, emphasizing the wheel can't turn without the spokes. Of course in other countries, a lot of things are more expensive but the minimum wage is also way higher.

I don't want to be so filthy rich that I become greedy or inhumane. Rather, I'd like more money to live a lifestyle that I wish I could have lived growing up that more fortunate people live. Also to help out my parents, because I hate seeing my dad stress so much everyday and having to work so hard after retirement to keep us afloat. Nothing like hearing bill collectors calling the house all the time and seeing your parents go to a lawyer to avoid bankruptcy. Nothing like being dragged out of bed at 8am so your dad can take you to Golden 1 to withdraw your savings of $500 to get to $3k so he can pay a bill immediately. I had no idea what had happened that day. I'm scared to ask.

Then it sucks to hear your best friend has to pay so much to take care of her parents. And wishing you could do something to help her, on top of wishing you could already help yourself and your own parents.

Growing up, it didn't feel like this. When Bill Clinton was in office, it felt like even if people were poor in the early 90's they were happy and people had money to do things.

Even if I can't get rich instantly, I really strive to make a good living one day, that I make enough to take care of my basic needs, to pay all my bills, and not have to worry so much and also to afford decent entertainment and have good friends and family over. You know, just enough to make life really good.

And I do have a pretty good life now as bad as it can be at times. As much as I feel I'm at my breaking point. I see others less fortunate than me and it pushes me more deep inside that i need to be thankful for what I already have and be even more determined to get where I wanna go. I don't know if I'll be able to do that staying in Stockton...

So as much as I believed 2012 was a year of change, I think I also had a lot of fun this year and I believe that 2013 will be more stressful, more goal/work orientated to get me, where I need to go.

Also I found it funny that Savemart responded to my idea:
Because it would be nicet o feel more comfortable at work. We look like Burger town workers, not "professional"

Ghosts Of Paraguay

One thing I love is how Eddy and I randomly burst out into song lyrics.

Like one day I was telling him how I enjoy the fact that we sing together. Our conversation went like this:

Karissa: I love the fact that we randomly start singing random lyrics together.

Eddy: You do?
Karissa: Yes.
Eddy: Ok, well I'll stop doing it then?
Karissa: But why?!?! I enjoy it!!!
Eddy: I'm not gonna sing with you anymore.
Karissa: WHY?!?!
Eddy: ♫ Oops I did it again... ♫

Sometimes it doesn't always work though but then again this wasn't in person:

I share my royal oats with you, and readjust my attitude

Friday night, I picked up Eddy, Kate and Samielyn and we met up in the S-mart parking lot with Siu, Sadaf and Sajjad. Then we went over to Chick-fil-A in Elk Grove for a delicious dinner.

It was Samielyn's first time trying Chick-fil-A and Kate had never had the sauce there before xD

We all went to King's Skate afterward to go roller skating.

I got a pair of Roller Blades and I haven't done this in 11 years so I was skating pretty baad xD at first. I fell twice, once in the lobby going really fast and one time off the bench xP I didn't fall on the rink at all even though it was more slippery. Sometimes I felt like I was loosing my balance and I worked quickly to regain it. It gave me a good work out lol

The skating rink employee's had us play lots of games. Eddy won most of them and would come back with a Pepsi or Ice cream or something. o_o I got a flashing smily face thingy thanks to him. Oh and they played Gangnam Style on the rink of course :3

The next day I had off, so I took Kayla with me to see SKYFALL 007 in Manteca theater and we met up with Chris and some of my friends there. Then afterward, we ate at Billie Hill's Hillbilly BBQ in downtown Manteca

The owner had us sample 10 different BBQ sauces. Haha Kazumi got burnt out after 2 of them. I don't blame her. I could barley taste the difference of the last 3. A few tasted pretty good though.

The Chicken sandwich I had was DELICIOUS and the place was unique, so I plan to bring other people to try it.

Then Kazumi and I went back to her house and chillaxed. But I needa look for Utena so we can watch it. Oldschoool style!

Lets make AWESOME happen!

Kazumi and I saw Wreck it Ralph and it's a great movie! Oh man I loved the video game references, I loved (spoilers) Sonic talking about how to be safe on the screens in Game Central Station in his actual voice/style. The plot twist was cool xD I wanna see it again.

Then yesterday Kazumi and I went to Ono Hawaiian BBQ and walked around Trinity Parkway for a bit. I bought some comfy slippers at Bed Bath and Beyond and weighed myself on all the scales and realized I'm getting fat haha so I needa work on my diet. But other than that, nothing much to buy cause I'm trying not to spend anything with major purchases up ahead. Though it would be really cool to have a Rattlesnake statue hold a bottle of Vodka or something for me ;D

Woo Happy V for Vendetta day, well that was yesterday now. But Eddy asked me to be his date to the Halo 4 launch and I don't play Halo but I love Gamestop midnight launches and games in general so why not? I'm so glad I went because Eddy and I ended up doing the Gangnam Style dance that the DJ blasted and I even crawled underneath Eddy as he pelvic thrusted for the elevator scene so Selena gave him a shirt and I got tattoos.

Then after dancing and tweeting to the DJ for a few hours, they held a Gangnam Style dance competition in the parking lot. I actually tried to follow the dances that I could remember in time to the music in my head but Eddy and I worked together and we won the Halo 4 digital countdown display :] and several guys were asking Eddy about the poster in line and he was like "I won it cause of her" pointing at me. Awww <3

So no Halo 4 game for me but Eddy gave me his shirt of it. I had lots of fun.

I'm doing a raffle on FB to give away a gigantic 5 lb Hershey's Chocolate bar. Just felt like doing a lil contest or something when I saw that, actually Kazumi pointed the Hershey bar out at K-mart and took a pic of me with it. That thing is huge and 12000 calories. I wouldn't even TRY to eat it. It's just amazing.

So I'm giving one or two of these chocolate bars away as a Christmas gift when I do the raffle in a few days and I'll record the names going into a bowl and the drawing so it's not like rigged or anything.

Voting tomorrow. I'm voting for Obama because Romney is an idiot. And no on prop 32. That's about all I know.
